Just wanted to jump into your Inbox with some news about this month's focus. In honor of Women's/Womxn's History Month, I will be donating a percentage of all sales to the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence.
According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, "1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence. Further, 1 in 7 women and 1 in 25 men have been injured by an intimate partner." Intimate partner violence can take on a number of abusive forms, including (but not limited to):
- Emotional Abuse
- Sexual Abuse
- Technological Abuse
- Financial Abuse
- Abuse of Immigration Status
One of my favorite sayings, and something I am becoming more deliberate about in my own life is that "Social Justice starts at home." The issue of domestic violence is deeply personal to me. I would like to do my part in helping to eradicate it. That is why I am asking you to join me in doing what you can to support education, policy and more that will help our next generation leaders love in peace.
